Boarding Houses

The majority of our students are resident students. Each student is attached to one of the six boarding houses both for residence
and purposes of sporting and social activities. The houses are; Jaguar, Lion, Panther, Leopard, Cheetah and Tiger.

Management of Boarding Facilities

The domestic department is headed by a senior teacher below whose position is a Senior Man and his deputy in charge of boys wing
and a Senior Woman and her deputy who are in charge of the girls wing. This team together with two care takers over see the well-being
of students in the domestic section.

Mentoring & Tutoring

We have a student mentoring system where 6-10 students are allocated to a tutor who oversees their welfare and academic progress.
Twice a term, the parents are updated on the child’s progress through the tutorial reports that cover the following areas:

  • Academic Effort Levels
  • Class participation
  • Innovation and research
  • Self Drive
  • Conduct
  • Hygiene
  • Dress code
  • Co-curricular and sports
  • Goals and targets

Sick Bay

A reputable health service provider (IAA) manages our school’s sick bay.

Students’ immediate health issues are attended to by two resident nurses assisted by a visiting doctor and referrals can be made to a major hospital.

Religious Affairs

Vienna college Namugongo is an interdenominational school that caters for learns from different denominations.

The school is keen on the spiritual and moral development of all learners.

However, any form of religious extremism is discouraged and any religious activity in the school must be guided by the pastoral office.

Our Story

Vienna College is a home to over four hundred students, most of whom reside on the extensive campus. The focus for their academic education is preparation and participation in the IGCSE and GCE "A-level" Courses. Vienna College is a Cambridge International (CIE) Centre UG010.
